What data we collect

  • Business contact details (name, job title, company, email, phone, postal address).

  • Enquiry and engagement data (your messages, meeting notes, proposals, mandates).

  • Transactional/admin data (invoices, payments, accounting records).

  • Marketing preferences and communication history.

  • Website/app data (IP address, device/browser info, pages viewed, cookie IDs)

  • We don’t intentionally collect special category data; please don’t send it unless we ask.

Why we use your data & lawful bases

  • To respond to enquiries and deliver our services (contract; steps to enter a contract; our legitimate interests in running and growing a B2B advisory business).

  • To take payments, keep records and meet legal/tax duties (legal obligation; contract).

  • To manage our relationship and keep you informed about relevant services and events (legitimate interests for B2B marketing; you can opt out any time. We’ll use consent if the law requires it).

  • To secure, operate and improve our website and communications (legitimate interests; non-essential cookies only with your consent).

Sharing your data
We use trusted service providers acting under contract (e.g., website hosting/CMS, email and cloud storage, CRM, calendar/booking tools, accountants, payment processors, IT/security). We may share information with professional advisers or authorities when required by law, and in the context of a business sale or restructuring.

International transfers
Some providers may be outside the UK. Where they are, we use recognised safeguards (e.g., the UK IDTA/Addendum to EU SCCs) to protect your information. Details are available on request.

How long we keep it

  • Enquiries and prospect records: up to 24 months after last meaningful contact.

  • Client/matter and transaction records (incl. invoices): 6–7 years to meet tax/legal duties.

  • Marketing suppression lists: kept indefinitely to honour opt-outs. We delete or anonymise data when it’s no longer needed.

Your rights
You can request access, correction, deletion, restriction, or transfer of your data, and object to processing (including direct marketing). Where we rely on consent, you can withdraw it at any time. You can also complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.

Cookies

If we obtained your data from other sources
We may receive business contact details via referrals, publicly available sources (e.g., Companies House, your website/LinkedIn) or reputable lead providers. We use them to contact you about our services as above.
